Walle

My friend Alin kept complaining that every robot vacuum he owned was either dumb, flimsy, or both. So we started building a better one from scratch, named Walle.
We're now on the third PCB design. The board layout splits into two electrical domains: clean boards for signal-sensitive work (a Raspberry Pi 5 and STM32F405 on the main board, LiDAR and IMU on the sensor board) and dirty boards for high-current motor and power delivery, each with its own buck converter off the raw battery so motor switching noise never bleeds into the sensors.
The only thing crossing domains is battery telemetry, isolated over I2C. Everything else stays on its own island, wired board to board with JST-XH harnesses instead of stacking connectors.
